At 1 P.M. tomorrow, Araneta Coliseum will be jammed again by students, alumni, basketball fanatics and some people who want to witness the opening of this year’s season of UAAP.

The De La Salle Green Archers will be hosting this season’s UAAP games. I read that they will remove the typical opening numbers wherein performers sing and dance. What they will have is “an amazing show of lights and laser”…. Amazing? How do you define amazing? Hmm…. I have to see that.

Dindo Pumaren is UE Warrior’s new coach. So the “Holy War” is now through. It’s now Pumaren vs. Pumaren. Well… I don’t have further comments.

I’m looking forward to seeing this year’s Adamson Falcons. They’ve got a good line-up this season. No wonder why coach Trillo is so excited. Talk about Jomar Canuday who led the junior falcons last year to the championships (unfortunately, the blue eaglets grabbed the title) They still have the 3-point shooter Patrick Tiongco. And Mark Abadia? Maybe he will still be expected to lead the team (I think he should lessen his ego coz it affects his game)

JR Reyes and Rob Bornancin will not be joining the UP Maroons in the basketball battle. I read from a newspaper that there was some kind of misunderstanding between JR Reyes and the Maroons basketball team. I don’t know if it’s with the whole team or just with the coaching staff. Kenneth Robin is back, as well as Abby Santos. I guess people will be expecting more from Cervantes, Almeda, Cruz and David.

The superstars of Ateneo have left the team. Good thing they still have Bugia, Tenorio and the guy who manage to keep a low profile despite all his heroism in most games, Larry Fonacier (yipee!).

So, will the Tamaraws have a repeat? Will UST go for their 18th straight year as UAAP’s general champion? Who will be a part of this year’s final four? Let’s just wait and see!

GO! GO!….. umm….. blue falcons???!!! Hehehe (kala nyo eagles noh?)

UP FIGHT! (love your own daw eh)
