For the past months, I’ve been frequently watching dance movies shown in cinemas. You Got Served, Dirty Dancing and Honey (yes it was a dance movie. The poster wasn’t reliable at all). Just the other night, I’ve watched J. Lo and Richard Gere’s Shall We Dance? and a friend has just invited me to watch Salsa (haven’t even seen its preview yet).
Dance scenes never fail to enthrall me. Be it hip- hop, dirty dancing, ballroom dancing, etc.
Dancing for me is very therapeutic. For example in dance practices, it helps you release all those negative feelings. However, I’ve known some who don’t attend practices because they feel that they can’t really move because of the negative emotion they have.
But dancing is fun! It’s the best way to stay slim. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me. But I like it better than the typical exercise (is that a good excuse?).
Let me ask you something. Why do guys go on dance classes? Not only guys who don’t know how to dance take these classes. Even guys who have the talent do. I guess that’s for improvement. Or maybe they just want to hang out and probably help others. Something like that.
But after watching the movie Shall We Dance?, I learned three other things why guys attend dance classes:
1. They want to lose weight (to impress girls)
2. They want to meet girls (very common) or the girl they like is a
student of that class (awww… they’re willing to stretch all
those rusty muscles for hours just to have a glimpse of her….
How…. Funny …. Oops! I mean sweet)
3. They wanna be good in bed (stop me from laughing).
Any violent reaction?
